Yoruba Actress, Bimbo Akisanya On Trial For Attempted Murder Of A Reverend

According to PM News, Yoruba star actress Bimbo Akisanya stood before the Ikeja Magistrate Court yesterday over an alleged conspiracy to kill Rev. Pat Ogechi Dennah. Apparently she hired an assassin to kill Rev. Pat for unknown reasons, but when the hitman shot at the Reverend, he only wounded her on the left shoulder.

One of the charges reads:

“ That you, Bimbo Akinsanya and others now at large on 28 October, 2011 at about 2030hrs at No. 20, Samuel Street, Akowonjo, Egbeda, Lagos, in the Lagos magisterial district, did point Rev. Pat Ogechi Dennah to a boy yet to be identified, to kill her and the said boy shot her with a gun and wounded her on her left shoulder and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 338 of the criminal code cap C17 Vol. 11 laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2003.”

Bimbo stuck to a 'not guilty' plea and was released on N100,000 bail, the case has been adjourned till 30th of November 2011. Just when we're about to rejoice at Baba Suwe's release, now this ...
