After 10months suffering at Kirikiri Maximum Prison, 36years Old Rita Nwaolu begged the judge to jail her and minimise her suffering at kirikiri. She subsequently changed her plea from not guilty to guilty and eventually got what she wanted as she was sentenced to two years in jail for obtaining money under false pretence.
Rita was glad because to her it was better to serve her jail terms and regain freedom than continuing to languish in custody while the trial lingers.
