Stella Monye's mum dies after being wrongly diagnosed

Ace singer and Samba Queen, Stella Monye lost her 71 year old mother to cancer of the uterus last week Saturday. Alice Monye had been ill for a while but was wrongly diagnosed with fibroid instead of cancer of the uterus, and by the time this mistake was discovered it was already too late.
Stella said to Vanguard;

I am using this opportunity to encourage every woman to go and do a test to know their status on cervical cancer because it is a very deadly disease that is fast killing women in recent times,”
