Make Monday A Day To Look Forward To...

Monday mornings are almost always the same. You have long faces and moody people because they are not happy that the weekend is over and the rush of work begins. You simply can't wait for the week to be over. You spend the first few hours of the day stretching and yawning or worse still, going through the motions like a zombie.

Have you heard of the Monday blues? This is the sinking feeling you get at the thought of heading back to work. For some people it starts on Sunday, they dread the hours to come and would do anything to slow it down. But really, is this how its going to be for the rest of your working life? Week after week of joyless work, going through the hours until weekend comes around. How about stopping this trend and moving on to something new, a more eventful/exciting weekday especially Mondays. It is possible for you to love Mondays as much as Fridays and Saturdays.

Well here are some ideas on how to make your Mondays more exciting.

Stop seeing work as something you 'have to do' and start seeing it has something you want to do. Yes i know for most people, you have to do it in other for you to get that pay check. But you need to try and change your mind set and you will notice your attitude and productivity get better.

Think of things that would give you pleasure. For example your new shoes you want to show off, or a case you are certain you did so well. Whatever it maybe, think about it and channel that excitement into your Monday. You can also schedule meetings that you would like to your Mondays so you would have something to look forward to. It can be work related or personal(do this during your free time).

Wake your mind up. Yes, your body is awake but your mind still feels foggy and slow. Grab a cup of coffee or eat something you like, listen to music as you move e.t.c. This would help your brain pick up.

Sleep early. Part of the reasons why you are all moody is because your body misses your bed. So, try sleeping early on Sunday nights so you can feel refreshed come Monday morning.

If none of this works, look at the bright side. The weekend is just four days away, so you better start planning something good for it.
