"Jim Iyke's Case Was Not Thrown Out Of Court" Mrs Abubakar Claims As She Releases Evidence Of Fraud

We reported yesterday that Jim Iyke's N16.5 million fraud case was thrown out of court for lack of evidence, but counsel for the alleged victim says otherwise. The lady in question, Mrs Abubakar has issued out a press release via her lawyer stating that Jim Iyke confessed to all the charges that were brought against him which included breach of trust, criminal force, cheating etc.The letter reads,
"At the instance of our client, the case was only discharged for amicable settlement (and not thrown out) and the accused was not in any way acquitted."
Going on to dispell reports that his client's case was thrown out of court for lack of evidence, it continued,
"Pursuant to his confession and guilty plea, the accused ( Mr. Jim Iyke) would have been sent to jail but for the magnanimity of the victim, Mrs Abubakar who, after listening to all the pleading from Jim's family that he was their bread winner, decided to temper justice with mercy."
According to the letter, Jim Iyke has signed an agreement to refund the money back to his client in two installments.
"We expect that Mr. Jim Iyke will concentrate on finding ways of fulfilling the debt repayment agreement signed by him rather than the unnecessary show of braggadocio and deliberate misinformation, as the agreement clearly states that should he default on two consecutive instalment payments, the case will be re-opened, all waivers suspended, and the law will take its cause."
We are not sure what to take or believe, whatever it is, its a good thing this case has been resolved amicably, and both parties can now move on with their lives.
