Court Gives NDLEA 21 Days Deadline To Pay Baba Suwe N25m For Damages

Baba Suwe case still dragging on, there were predictions the NDLEA wouldn't pay, well that seems to be the case, its been months now and yet, NDLEA doesn't want to pay.

Though the Ikeja High Court in Lagos has taken action by ordering the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, to pay the N25 million damages awarded to popular comedian. In no pleas, they have given their orders that, N25 million should be paid into an interest yielding account no later than 21 days from the date of judgement. optimatum

Nonetheless, NDLEA's lawyer continue to argue the that Baba Suwe may not be able to refund the money if their appeal succeeds. But Justice Idowu has insisted that the N25 million must be paid to the Chief Registrar of the High Court who will in turn deposit it into an interest yielding account.

The whole case is turning out sour!!
