Mayven PR's "Celebrating Africa’s Finest Entrepreneurs™" (CAFE) Event Series was launched last week. The event was part of the line up of activities in Social Media Week, New York. It aims to celebrate and highlight the achievements of the African entrepreneur; providing an empowering environment where entrepreneurs can Network.
Mayven PR partnered with SMWNYC, IBOM and LLC for the inaugural event of the series to host a panel session on 'Social Media for the African Entrepreneur' which was graced by some highly experienced social media professionals including Janel Martinez of Black Enterprise, Zandile Blay of Huffington Post and Farai Gundan of Forbes Africa/Farai Today.
Janell Hazelwood of Black Enterprise hosted the panel session which saw attendees engaged in discussions, as deep insights on social media were shared by the brilliant panelists, and attendees as well.
The success of event amassed several graceful testimonials from attendees. One of such was from one Emma Cheppy (@emmacheppy), describing her experience at the CAFE Event as "…the best Africans in NY networking event I’ve been to. Informative, well organized and definitely needed."
