On the 8th of September Oba Abiodun Idowu Oniru celebrated his 75th birthday and 18 years coronation at the Palace of the King in Victoria Island and roads leading to Oniru and Victoria Island was blocked with expensive cars parked around.
Guests included Governor Raji Fashola, Deputy Governor of Lagos, King Ooni of Ife (Oba Okunade Sijuade), Oba of Lagos (Rilwan Akinolu), Dr Aliko Dangote, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Chief Olamilekan Dosunmu (Oba Dosunmu), Rafiu Akanni Olohunwa and wife (Laide), Yusuf Ashafa, Seyi Ogunde, Muiz Banire, Commissioner for environment (Honourable Tunji Bello), Honourable Funmi Tejuosho,all Eti-Osa Local Government Chairman, the children and grand children of Oba Oniru and others, while the King of Fuji, K1 was there to entertain.
