This is definitely bad news for the Louboutin loving females.
The case began back in 2008 when Louboutin sued Zara for selling a red-soled shoe similar to theirs for £40. Zara argued that there was no proven risk of confusion between Louboutin’s shoes and theirs, though unexpected, they won this argument and was awarded about £2,000 compensation.
Christian Louboutin's official trademark for the red sole was awarded in 2008 and they have in the past accused other shoe designers like Yves Saint Laurent and Jessica Simpson of copying. Though Louboutin still insists that they'll continue to defend their signature, this new development could mean a huge mass production of red-soled shoes by cheap designers who hope they'll be as lucky as Zara.
What's your take on this? Do you think buying a Louboutin shoe for almost N150,000 is still worth it if others like Zara are allowed to make and sell something similar for ten times less than what you paid? Does your Louboutin still have the power to establish your economic value? Let's discuss this.....

Perhaps if Mr. Louboutin would sell his shoes at reasonable prices and not those rediculously outlandish prices it won't be so profitable for others to earn off his back selling shoes that resembles his at a fraction of the cost. I am not surprised he lost, one would have to come really good and have significant proof to prove the case of similarity/copy infringment.
