As you know actress Funke Akindele announced her wedding plans following her engagement to Kehinde Almaroof, she has already started taking steps as family and friends gathered in a small ceremony in her parents home to celebrate her Nikkai.
Nikkai is an Islamic wedding right to bless the marriage, it also involves signing the marriage contract - to practising muslims, avoiding this right makes the bride a mere concubine. Though Funke was known to be a born again Christian and her mother a Mountain of Fire pastor, this ceremony was necessary considering her husband is a Muslim.
Her engagement ceremony was scheduled for tomorrow the 26th of May at All Seasons Plaza Ikeja, but there are speculations that the date has been changed to stop fans from crowding at the venue.
