A real music is the combination of good rhythm and inspiring lyrics. Some go for the dancable rhythm while others prefer the soul lifting lyrics of some musicians. In Nigeria today, most musicians no longer play by the rules of music because danceable and rocking rhythms attracts more fans. Parties and nite clubs go gaga at the sound of danceable tracks and that's the major reason why people are trooping into the music industry.
What happened to the days of legends like Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, Orlando Julius, Fatai rolling Dollar where music was filled with life and inspiration in terms of good rhythm and powerful lyrics? Though in this present generation, we have musicians like Asa, Dare Art Alade and a host of others whose music contains the right ingredients, but what happened to the rest of them?
