Nkiru Sylvanus is the special assistant on public affairs to the governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha. Not too long ago, she was abducted alongside Kenneth Okolie at a movie location in the state and thereafter, released after forcing out the sum N8 million as ransom for their freedom.
The police now have Six suspects in their custody in conjunction with Nkiru's kidnap. The suspects are Ndidi Cletus, also known as Matthew Ofurum; Stanley Asouna; Aminu Musa; Muhammed Abubakar; Obinna Okolisa, and Samson Onwuka.
30-year-old Ndidi Cletus is the leader of the gang and he's a former mobile police constable who was dismissed in 2007. He joined the police in 2004 with the name, Matthew Ofurum. The Kidnapping gang have reportedly confessed to carrying out several other kidnapping operations as well.
