Super Eagles Striker Osaze Odemwingie has called for peaceful resolution of the ongoing fuel subsidy removal crisis in Nigeria. The West Brom striker, apparently worried by the news of protests and strife in his home country, appealed to both the government- who recently removed subsidy on petrol and increased the pump price by over 100 percent- and the Nigeria Labour Congress the body spearheading the protests to settle the matter.
He tweeted saying:
“Praying for the problem of fuel-increase to be sorted in a peaceful manner. Think both our government and the people should meet in the middle”. The Goal poacher proposed.
