The competition is owned by Ford Models Inc. and has expanded throughout the globe with licensed competitions taking place in over 40 countries of the world. This year (2011) Nigeria joins her counterparts to search for the next Ford Supermodel of the World.
The Nigeria 1st place winner will join other first place winners across the globe in New York by August to compete for the grand prize of $250,000 (US) modeling contract with Ford Models. The runners-up also receive modeling contracts with Ford Models for $150,000 (US) – 2nd place and $100,000 (US) – 3rd place.
